What I learned from my dad.

October 14, 2009

  • Try everything at least once (my dad encouraged me to at least try everything – every sport, music, etc.).
  • Invite your son / daughter to help you. Even though they might not know what you’re doing, they love to help (I did).
  • Enjoy life.
  • Love your kids.
  • Discipline isn’t a bad thing, it’s necessary.

No father is perfect, except The One True Father. They all influence us in incredible ways that affect us for a lifetime.

What did you learn from your dad?

  1. Love the point about inviting son/daughter to help you. I’m learning the value of patience and slowing down. Spending time teaching my daughter things is way more important than maxing out my capacity for effectiveness and accomplishment.

Over the last few years I have learned that communication is very important or your left pretty confused on some issues like I was and still am at time. And its interesting to see how that plays out with me and my brother.
